Membership

Forms of membership according to the statutes §4 (see also Statutes and Information)

  1. Ordinary Members:
Membership as an Ordinary Member is open to all institutions based in Austria whose remit includes scientific research and which themselves conduct climate research, at least in part. Ordinary Members have full rights, participate in the implementation of the association's objectives, and lead the operational activities as well as the substantive and strategic direction of the association.
  2. Supporting Members:
Membership as a Supporting Member is open to all institutions that do not conduct climate (impact) research but are active in the area of climate protection or climate change adaptation, as well as to individuals who are interested in supporting the association's objectives, whether in kind or financially. Supporting Members are admitted on the basis of partnership agreements concluded between the association and the respective institution for a fixed period or on an open-ended basis.
Supporting Members have no voting rights at the General Assembly.

Become a Member

If you're interested in becoming a member of CCCA, please send an email to the CCCA office at info@ccca.ac.at, and they'll send you all the necessary information, documents, and a draft membership declaration.

The board decides on the admission of new members. The General Assembly must then confirm the admission of new members at the next available opportunity.

With effect from 02.03.2023, CCCA will no longer admit commercial companies as ordinary members, as the market dynamics in the area of climate change adaptation and mitigation mean that the association's governing bodies are no longer able to carry out the required checks of the admission and membership criteria in an organisational capacity. Exceptions are made for companies whose activities lie exclusively or predominantly in the field of research. The necessary supporting documentation must be submitted by the company to the board via the office at info@ccca.ac.at. Admission as supporting members remains open and is reviewed once a year in the course of the General Assembly and its preparation. Companies admitted as ordinary members prior to the cut-off date are not affected by this provision.
