Expert Roundtables

Together with the Climate and Energy Fund, CCCA brings together experts from various fields to discuss current research trends, needs, implementation experiences, and relevant topics. The main focus is on the question of what bridges need to be built to transfer research findings into practice more effectively, thereby increasing the societal impact of climate impact research.

Starting from the perspectives of researchers in the CCCA network, a dialogue is initiated with experts from the Climate and Energy Fund around different guiding questions. The resulting insights are brought together in an internal analysis and documented in a comprehensive report. This bundles both opportunities, perspectives, starting points for implementation, innovative format ideas, and strengths, as well as desiderata, risks, and suggestions for improvement. The roundtables thus serve as a platform for exchange between research funding and science. Their results contribute to promoting evidence-based and tailored decisions and supporting their implementation.

The Expert Roundtables are

  • an interdisciplinary platform,
  • that is practice-oriented, results-driven, and innovation-promoting
  • and initiates a topic-focused dialogue between key stakeholders from science and research funding – with the aim of effectively transferring research findings into practice.
