Together with the Environment and Climate Research Hub (ECH) of the University of Vienna, the Climate Change Centre Austria (CCCA) is inviting you to the 26th Austrian Klimatag in Vienna from 8 to 10 April 2026. True to this year's motto "Building Bridges", the most important networking event of the Austrian climate research community is all about exchange and collaboration.

 

Planned conference programme:

  • Opening with keynote and discussion on 9 April 2026
  • Thematically clustered scientific sessions with selected presentations on current climate (impact) research & socio-ecological transformation (9–10 April 2026)
  • Exchange on scientific posters during the Poster Talks (9–10 April 2026)
  • ACRP quality assurance for 2026 in the presence of the ACRP Steering Committee (9–10 April 2026)
  • Presentation of the CCCA Early Career Award and the CCCA Poster Awards
  • Icebreaker on 8 April 2026 and evening event on 9 April 2026
  • Climate Walk and workshop for early-career researchers (8 April 2026) 
  • Workshop on networking between administration, practice and science in cooperation with the City of Vienna (by invitation, 9 April 2026) 
  • Presentation of the CCCA Early Career Award and the CCCA Poster Awards (10 April 2026)
  • Information offerings from the Climate Dashboard, ÖKS and funding bodies during selected breaks (9–10 April 2026) 
  • Networking opportunities during breaks and as part of the social programme
  • The event meets the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Meetings/Events
  • Conference fee €140, reduced rate of €90 for students 

The Austrian Klimatag: 

  • is a scientific conference aimed at providing an overview of current Austrian research activities in the areas of climate change and transformation.
  • serves as an interdisciplinary networking event for the climate and climate impact research community
  • offers early-career and established researchers alike the opportunity to present their research work
  • serves as a platform for presenting current ACRP projects in the presence of the ACRP Steering Committee
  • additionally offers opportunities for dialogue with stakeholders from policy, administration and research funding, and
  • also facilitates exchange with business representatives, practitioners and the interested public
