The conference takes place at the University of Vienna's Biology Building (UBB).

A room contingent has been pre-reserved at various Vienna hotels for Klimatag. Rooms could be booked until 06.02.2026; since then, bookings are only possible subject to availability. Further information about the hotels can be found further down the page.

Travelling by train

Please use public transport to get to the event! Taking public transport is a CO2-saving and comfortable way to reach the venue. Below you'll find timetable information for three national rail operators: 

• ÖBB - Austrian Federal Railways
• Deutsche Bahn
• Swiss Federal Railways

You can reach the venue from both the Hauptbahnhof (15 min) and the Westbahnhof (30 min). Details on Vienna's public transport lines can be found in the next section.

Travelling by public transport

The venue "University of Vienna Biology Building" benefits from excellent, barrier-free connections to the public transport network and has accessible toilet facilities. 

Public transport

Underground, tram and bus services are all available.

The University of Vienna Biology Building (UBB) can be reached by tram line 18 (Viehmarktgasse stop – 2 minutes on foot), tram line 71 (St. Marx stop – 6 minutes on foot), bus line 74A (Viehmarktgasse stop – 2 minutes on foot) and underground line U3 (Schlachthausgasse stop – 9 minutes on foot).

Travelling by bike

Guests arriving by bike are most welcome! There is a bike storage facility with plenty of spaces right nearby.

Travelling on foot

The venue is centrally located and within walking distance of many hotels. 

Travelling by car

If you do need to travel by car, we recommend using the Park & Ride facilities on the outskirts of the city (Erdberg). From there, you can easily reach the venue "University of Vienna Biology Building" by public transport. Please note that short-stay parking zones apply throughout Vienna until 10 pm.
