The State of Styria and the City of Graz are jointly organising, together with the Austrian network of climate research institutions — Climate Change Centre Austria CCCA — the 28th Styrian Climate and Energy Forum. We warmly invite you to this event on Monday, 18 May 2026, from 17:00 to 18:30, this time held ONLINE!
The Climate and Energy Forum opens up the dialogue on the topic of "HIDDEN, BUT THREATENED IN MANY PLACES: Groundwater in Focus in the Austrian Climate Status Report 2025"
After several record-breaking years, 2025 was climatically unusually quiet in Styria too — yet climate change continues to leave its mark. While extreme natural disasters were absent and emergency services could breathe a sigh of relief, one often-overlooked topic took centre stage: groundwater. It supplies us with drinking water and is indispensable for agriculture, industry, and ecosystems. Both the ongoing climate change and increasing demand are leading to changing conditions. The Austrian Climate Status Report 2025 sheds light on these developments and shows how we can secure the future of our groundwater reserves.
Join the authors of the Climate Status Report for a conversation about what measures are important for the future of our groundwater resources! We're looking forward to a stimulating exchange!
Registration requested by 11 May 2026 at the latest!
