Sustainability4U – EARTH TALKS STYRIA: "Between AI and KO: What Skills Do Young People Need Today?" 15:30–18:00

The Styrian University Conference, made up of nine Styrian universities and universities of applied sciences (FH CAMPUS 02, FH JOANNEUM, Kunstuniversität Graz, Medizinische Universität Graz, Montanuniversität Leoben, Private Pädagogische Hochschule Augustinum, Pädagogische Hochschule Steiermark, TU Graz and Universität Graz), invites you to the next edition of "Sustainability4U – EARTH TALKS STYRIA" at PPH Augustinum!

Learning with heart, hands and mind – that was Pestalozzi's concept. But what does learning mean today, in a world where artificial intelligence (AI) can summarise information and deliver answers in seconds? Educators and neurobiologists are warning that many children and young people are missing out on fundamental real-world experiences. So what does it take to actively participate in society? What skills foster a successful and fulfilling life? And how can young people be prepared to find their way in a world shaped by global crises, fake news and rapid technological development – and to help shape it themselves?
Experts from academia, business and education explore how social trends, globalisation and digitalisation are influencing our education systems and how these systems can respond appropriately. At the heart of it all is a constructive search for solutions on how we can empower young people to lead a successful life.
