The review of the second Austrian Assessment Report (AAR2) has now begun.
This is the final review round in the development process of the AAR2, which is due to be published in summer 2025. The aim of the APCC report is to support public debate on climate change and climate change adaptation and to provide a basis for evidence-based policy measures. More than 150 scientists present the current state of research and cover all facets of climate change across eight chapters. 16 international Review Editors have been involved in the review process since the completion of the First Order Draft — they are checking the implementation and incorporation of review comments in the Final Report.
Coordination of the report is the responsibility of Co-Chairs Margreth Keiler (University of Innsbruck), Daniel Huppmann, Keywan Riahi (both IIASA) and Harald Rieder (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna), who are supported by several postdocs and early-career researchers as Technical Support Unit and Chapter Scientists.
The review closes on 7 August 2024, after which the Final Draft will be prepared.
