The pilot call of the new programme "Austrian Climate Research Programme Implantation" (ACRPI) has recently opened.
The programme supports implementation-oriented research projects with high practical relevance in the areas of climate change adaptation and climate protection, addressing current questions from decision-makers. Building on existing expertise, the aim is to develop new scientific findings that fill and complement knowledge gaps in implementation.
The call supports research projects with a maximum duration of nine months that demonstrate a clear implementation focus and practical relevance. This can be expressed either through a sector-specific and technical perspective or by focusing on local particularities. The overarching goal is to break down key questions from decision-makers into concrete aspects of application, so that project results can serve as a scientific basis for subsequent implementation steps.
Topics of the pilot call:
• Adaptation to extreme weather events (50% of the call budget)
• Climate-resilient spatial planning & Climate Proofing (50% of the call budget)
