Dear Scientists and Supporters!

From December 2022, the board of Scientists4Future Austria will be newly appointed and the current support association of Scientists For Future Austria will be restructured. We want to make this process as transparent as possible, and are therefore looking for motivated scientists and supporters who'd like to get involved in the association from September 2022 onwards and help us support the climate movement in Austria!

The future board will consist of 8 people:
Chair, Finance Coordinator, Organisation Coordinator, and Communications Coordinator, each with a deputy.

• Time commitment: From September 2022, approximately 2 hours/week. During the getting-to-know-each-other phase in September and October 2022, (virtual) meetings every fortnight.
• For each role, we'd love to have tandems made up of an experienced person and a second person who brings a fresh perspective. Different ages, career stages, fields, and capacities are explicitly encouraged!
• What you'll need to bring: a bit of time. The desire to make a difference. A sense of responsibility, conscientiousness, and commitment!
• We all carry out our roles for S4F on a voluntary basis, alongside our professional and family commitments. As a team, we therefore try to work sustainably and support one another.

The climate movement is predominantly female. We know that men (not always, but often) tend to feel more confident taking on such roles, which is why we'd like to explicitly encourage all women and trans* people to get in touch!
