The Innovation Platform for Bioeconomy & Circular Economy acts as a central information hub and service agency for business, science, administration and politics.

With the support of BioBASE, new national and transnational as well as cross-sector collaborations between and within business and science are to be established. With its focus areas, BioBASE covers the entire value chain of the bioeconomy & circular economy. The intensive use of fossil and mineral resources contributes to the ongoing climate change, so a shift in the energy and production system is therefore necessary. Together with BioBASE, we're now launching an innovation platform to drive forward bio-based products and the circular management of products across a wide range of application areas.

BioBASE is embedded right from the start in a strong network of around 60 partner organisations and institutions, including some key Austrian companies as well as professional associations from the chemical, paper and pulp, timber, food, and stone and ceramics industries. On the scientific side, BioBASE is supported by the most important universities and research institutions in this field. In addition, state governments and regional development agencies and clusters are also part of the BioBASE network.
