In July 2019, a comprehensive, participatory process was launched to develop a new Biodiversity Strategy 2030 for Austria: the Biodiversitätsdialog 2030.

An important milestone in this process is the carrying out of a public consultation.
Today, on 3 August, this public consultation on possible elements of a national Biodiversity Strategy 2030 got underway.

The consultation document was developed by the Environment Agency Austria on the basis of contributions from experts during the workshops of the Biodiversitätsdialog 2030.
