Biodiversity – mini forest and nesting boxes: promoting species diversity on every green patch


Urban spaces are interspersed with a variety of green areas. These patches harbour potential for biodiversity that is now set to be unlocked.

Species diversity across the world is declining, particularly in industrialised countries and likewise in Austria. Yet local authorities and private individuals could do quite a lot to improve the situation with relatively little effort. A project has recently been launched at FH Kärnten, within the framework of which corresponding opportunities are to be identified and implemented.
