BNE Summer Academy 2025 on "Co-creative and future-ready"? Registration open until 29 June!

How can educational processes be designed to become more collaborative, creative and innovative – and in doing so, drive forward future-ready change? Participation and co-creation open up new possibilities for developing teaching and learning, and for transforming learning environments into spaces for shaping sustainable development.

At this year's ESD Summer Academy under the title "Co-creative and Future-Ready", we'll be diving into these topics together: How can we draw on new ways of working and new attitudes to create participatory learning spaces, apply creative methods, and develop sustainable educational projects and cultures? Across eight hands-on workshops, we'll explore different focal themes, combining inspiration with concrete tools for your own educational practice.
Sustainable development also means creating new spaces for learning and working – spaces where people can develop their potential together, act with self-responsibility, and contribute meaningfully to society. Central to this are the joy of doing and an awareness of the impact of one's own actions. This requires, among other things, analysing existing structures, initiating new processes, introducing a culture of appreciation in relationships, and above all developing a shared vision – using co-creative, participatory, collaborative and innovative approaches.

Together, we'll explore what opportunities participation and co-creation offer for our everyday learning and working lives. Our focus is on finding practical ways to enable sustainable transformation through creativity, courage and fresh perspectives.

The ESD Summer Academy run by Forum Umweltbildung is an annual networking and professional development event aimed at teachers and school principals of all school types and levels, student teachers, vocational school teachers, kindergarten and after-school educators, educators and multipliers from non-formal education, youth workers, and anyone with an interest in the topic.
