Brilliant ideas — professional implementation and presentation of solutions — enthusiastic participants and challenge sponsors!

At this year's Green Tech Jam, innovative up-and-coming talents once again tackled challenges from the green tech sector. The tasks this time came from Komptech (please link company), BDI - BioEnergy International, t-matix solutions, MUL Resource Innovation Center, Klima- und Energiefonds and AI.engineer. The hackathon was delivered across multiple online channels and organised jointly with CCCA and TUG. A total of 36 international students took part, competing in 8 teams for a total prize fund of €5,000.

Once again, diversity proved its worth — the winning teams are made up of students from different fields of study and different nations. The winner was Team Sixpack with their solution to the Montanuniversität Leoben challenge "Circular economy meets distributed ledger – A transparent PET bottle product cycle" and their "Think before you drink" app. Second place went to Team Knew Generation, who worked on Natural Language Processing and delivered an excellent solution to the AI.engineer challenge. Third place was taken by the "KomptechBoys" for their innovative app for operators of Komptech machinery.

A big thank you to all the teams and their fantastic solutions! We're impressed every single time by what young talents can pull together and create from scratch within just 48 hours!
