As part of the StartClim research programme, projects are being awarded for the 21st time in 2023. Innovative projects are being funded that address current questions relating to the national adaptation strategy.

The submission deadline for project proposals runs from 1 February to 22 March 2023 at 12:00.

The research questions of StartClim2023 are structured into four thematic blocks:

• Linking the biodiversity and climate crisis
• Regional climate tipping effects in Austria
• EU taxonomy/carbon market/green finance
• Traditional orchards and climate change adaptation
