As part of the GEO work programme, four new working groups have been established (published 24 March 2020):

• Capacity Development Working Group (CD-WG)
• Climate Change Working Group (CC-WG)
• Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group (DRR-WG)
• Data Working Group (Data-WG)

Further details and objectives are described here via the GEO Secretariat. As the GEO coordination body, we feel strongly about contributing the network's expertise and positioning ourselves there — and of course an open exchange of information with the Austrian GEO community is expected. Our nominations are aligned accordingly.

Please register your interest or suggestions directly with me by 21 April 2020. We will collect your expressions of interest in participating in the GEO working groups and coordinate them together by 30 April, then submit them as nominations to the GEO Secretariat.
