What is the DCNA?
The Disaster Competence Network Austria sees itself as a competence network between research institutions and stakeholders, and is organised as an open, non-profit association under academic leadership.
The core idea behind the network is to pool the specialist scientific expertise in Austria in the field of safety and disaster research, and to act as an academic point of contact and cooperation partner for the public and private sectors.
Objectives of the DCNA
Our goal is to transfer scientific findings into practice through cooperative research and educational activities carried out in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as to provide decision-relevant information in the event of a disaster.
