We'd like to draw your attention to three dialogue formats that CCCA will be organising in 2018.
We invite you to contribute your expertise and ideas to the shaping of these events. CCCA's goal here is to discuss internationally compelling topics with diverse target audiences, to which Austrian researchers can make a current contribution.
- CCCA breakout session as part of the Political Discussions of the European Forum Alpbach
Title: Are you acting or reacting? Countering climate change through new partnerships achieving the Paris Agreement by 2050 calls for effective measures. How can such a transformation be triggered? Who are the game changers? How can we convince policymakers and the public? Using examples from urban mobility, climate change adaptation, and energy use, we discuss promising leverage points. How can new partnerships between business, science, politics, administration and civil society enable an emission-neutral and climate-resilient society worth living in?
Venue/Time: Hauptschule Alpbach, 27.08.2018, 10:00–12:30
Details about the speakers can be found in the Political Discussions 2018 programme: <link https: www.alpbach.org wp-content uploads _blank external-link-new-window internal link in current>www.alpbach.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/2018_Programme_POL.pdf
CCCA is offering one place (including 1 night's accommodation) to an interested CCCA member organisation who would like to participate as a workshop participant and discussant. If there are several interested parties, the CCCA board will decide based on thematic considerations in line with the workshop's focus.
