In August of this year, the IPCC published the contribution of Working Group I to the sixth assessment report. This report was produced by 243 experts from 66 countries between summer 2018 and July 2021 through a comprehensive process involving three rounds of review, and was adopted by the IPCC plenary. It presents current knowledge in a reliable and comprehensive manner, thereby providing an important basis for national and international negotiations and the development of strategies for both reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change.

At this event, the contents of the report will be presented and discussed in line with the structure of the summary.
