Climate change, the struggle for energy resources, and refugee flows are among the greatest political, economic, and social challenges of our time.

Among the current refugee movements, the consequences of climate change, the waste(fulness) of resources, and armed conflicts are at the top of the list of causes. The CO2 concentration in the atmosphere has never risen as sharply as it did last year. Climate change has so dramatically altered living conditions in some regions of the world that many people are already being forced to flee today. If we look for the reasons behind most current wars, the struggle for fossil energy sources is front and centre. Further to this, it is, among other things, the revenues from exploiting these energy sources that provide the funding for these wars. An event by IG Windkraft on oil-financed wars, the reasons driving people to flee, climate protection, and renewable energy as a potential solution.
