Are you studying at an Austrian university or higher education institution and have an idea for a climate protection startup? Then apply by 08 May 2023 for the Green Tech Summer! With support from professionals, you'll develop your startup concept and receive €3,500 in seed capital.

Out of uni, into your startup!

The Green Tech Summer is aimed at all students in Austria who'd rather spend their summer in an innovative ideas workshop than doing a holiday internship. Ten selected students or student teams will get the chance to refine their business idea with the support of experts from the Green Tech Valley Cluster, the City of Graz, the Styrian Business Promotion Agency, Science Park Graz and the Gründungsgarage. This year you'll also get support from the beautiful Wörthersee through the build! Gründerzentrum and KWF. The start-up centre KAIT from Kapfenberg and ZAT from Leoben are also on board. So get ready for a little journey through the south of Austria!

From idea to founding
Participants can look forward to numerous workshops on topics relevant to starting a business, coaching sessions, pitch training and much more. The packed Green Tech Summer spans three months, during which the selected ideas for climate and environmental protection are nurtured and developed into concrete business models. Twice a week, participants meet for joint and mandatory workshops with the experts. By the end of the summer, the teams will be ready to launch their own startup. After the final pitch, individual participants receive €3,500 and teams receive up to €6,000 as seed capital for their green business.
