Climate protection measures: Austria bottom of the EU league

Austria is at the bottom of the EU when it comes to climate protection measures taken.


As reported by the weekly newspaper "Falter" in its current issue, just 15 measures had been reported by the end of March this year, according to a study by the European Environment Agency.

Belgium, by contrast, has implemented 124 climate protection measures over recent decades. Greece implemented 18 measures according to the list, and Cyprus 19. France sits just behind the frontrunner Belgium with 118 measures, while Germany ranks ninth in the EU country comparison with 71 reported climate protection measures.
