Climate Status Report Austria 2018 has been published

Presentation of the Climate Status Report 2018 at the Klimatag 2019 in Vienna


With the Climate Status Report, a comprehensive work on climate-related weather events in Austria was published for the first time in 2017. Based on scientific records, it has been possible to provide an overview and comparisons of individual temperature and precipitation conditions, as well as the impacts on various environmentally and socially relevant areas.

For the year 2018, the Climate Status Report focuses on the key topic of "Heat and Drought" and was presented at this year's Austrian Klimatag in Vienna.

The Climate Status Report Austria 2018 was produced in collaboration with CCCA, the <link https: www.zamg.ac.at cms de aktuell>Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG), the <link https: bfw.ac.at>Federal Research Centre for Forests (BFW), and the <link https: boku.ac.at>University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU), and was made possible through financial support from the <link https: www.klimafonds.gv.at>Climate and Energy Fund as well as the federal states of Burgenland, Carinthia, Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria, Tyrol, Vorarlberg and Vienna.
