Every election is a climate election! We asked: How climate-ready are Carinthia's parties?

The answers will be available to view from 28 February at www.klimawahlen.at.

Why every election is a climate election: The latest studies already show that keeping to the 1.5°C limit has become extremely unrealistic. Going by the IPCC's figures, we will have emitted so much CO2 within just 6 years that climate stability will be under threat. But beyond that, the same principle applies: with every 1/10°C, the risks of devastating instabilities, the triggering of irreversible processes and, of course, tipping points in the climate and biodiversity system all increase. This makes it clear that, whether at municipal, regional or national level: every election is first and foremost a climate election.
