As part of the Austrian Space Programme ASAP, approximately €7.7 million is available for the current 17th call for proposals. The call is run as a competitive procedure and closes on 3 December 2020 at 12:00.
The 17th ASAP call for proposals is aimed at projects that contribute to addressing current and future challenges through space technologies, space research and the application of satellite-based technologies.
These challenges are structured around the following equally weighted objectives of the call:
- Objective 1 Creating societal benefit
- Objective 2 Generating scientific impact
- Objective 3 Ensuring industrial competitiveness and economic effects
In addition to the three overarching objectives, two specific call objectives are also being pursued:
- Encouraging the participation of new organisations
- Promoting international cooperation
Funding is available for projects relating to one of the following focus areas:
- Applications of satellite-based technologies
- Earth observation
- Navigation
- Telecommunications and other satellite-based applications
- Space research and science
- Technologies for spaceflight
