For the 6th time, on 25 September the world is taking to the streets to demonstrate for climate justice. This time, the global climate strike is being held under the motto #FightEveryCrisis, with the demand that the climate crisis be taken as seriously as the coronavirus crisis and treated as the crisis it is. Strikes and actions are planned across Austria, along with major demonstrations in all state capitals. Scientist4Future will once again be forming their own bloc in the march.
Meeting points for S4F regional groups at a glance:
Vienna: 11:30 am at Christian-Broda-Platz (in front of the Hofer branch) - Demo starts: 12 noon
Salzburg: 3 pm at the Sissi statue at the main railway station
Linz: 2 pm at the Old Town Hall (Hauptplatz), look out for white T-shirts with the logo!
Innsbruck: 12 noon at Landhausplatz
Graz: 2 pm at the fountain in front of the Opera House
Face masks are compulsory, and distancing must also be maintained. There will be marshals in the FFF procession to help with this, but all participants should also make sure the measures are being followed.
