Attention climate-conscious business pioneers! The start-up initiative "greenstart" by the Climate and Energy Fund, in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Climate Action (BMK), is heading into its ninth round and is once again inviting ambitious entrepreneurs and individuals from across Austria to submit their business ideas in the areas of climate protection and climate change adaptation. Submissions can be made online until 15 February (12 noon). An info workshop on 24 January will provide further details for those interested.
An independent expert jury will select the TOP 10 ideas from all submissions. These will receive:
- €10,000 start-up capital
- six months of workshops and coaching to further develop their business ideas
- public relations support and a valuable network of start-ups, investors, climate and energy model regions, and much more
- a workspace at the co-working space Climate Lab in Vienna Spittelau
- €20,000 prize money each for the three winning teams
After the six-month programme concludes, the TOP 3 "greenstars" will be selected by the public via online voting as well as through a final assessment by the expert jury. These three outstanding start-ups will additionally each receive €20,000 in prize money. Many "greenstarters" from previous rounds have successfully navigated the start-up phase and are already establishing themselves in the market with their climate-relevant businesses.
We'd love to see more women getting involved! Submissions from female applicants are explicitly encouraged.
