How much does the Earth warm when the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere rises from 280 parts per million (ppm) — the pre-industrial level — to 560? We're currently sitting at 414 parts per million. A research team has now managed to determine more precisely just how warm it will actually get. Climate researcher Zeke Hausfather, Climate Director at the think tank The Breakthrough Institute, was part of the team and puts the findings into context.
