If climate change were an action film...

Climate neutrality is a complex and unwieldy concept. Hardly anyone is going to sit down in their spare time and read through all the scientific standards on the subject. Meanwhile, supposedly climate-neutral companies that have simply bought their way to climate neutrality through offsetting are springing up like weeds, leading consumers towards climate-damaging purchases. Raising awareness on this topic is essential in the fight against greenwashing and for a climate-just future. So how can you tell this story in a compelling way? How can you explain this concept to people? We — the film team Jolo Films — thought long and hard about it, and then we made an action film.

In an underground fight, emissions take on two dangerous challengers. The audience — embodying consumers — goes wild in the stands. Their future is at stake. In between, a slightly mafia-esque company boss and his ineffectual climate protection officer angrily intervene in the action. Linda — the not entirely impartial commentator — stirs things up even further. Bringing clarity to this chaos of emotions is an expert who calmly explains the content and messages. Can we still win this fight and save the future?
