To recognise outstanding projects in healthcare, the Austrian Association of Green Hospitals (ÖVGK) is this year presenting its Innovation and Sustainability Awards in Healthcare for the third time, under the motto "The beginning is half of the whole." The ÖVGK aims to put the spotlight on innovators who are committed to better, more ethical, and more sustainable healthcare.

Each award goes to the project that best serves the promotion of sustainability, climate protection, and the resilience of a healthcare facility or healthcare initiative.

Submissions are open until Sunday, 15 March 2026.

The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, as part of the 67th Austrian Congress for Hospital Management, which this year is held under the theme "For sustainable patient care in turbulent times."
