Two years after the publication of the Green Finance Agenda, the BMLUK and the BMF are carrying out a comprehensive evaluation of the Austrian Green Finance Agenda to analyse progress and future areas for action — and we'd like to draw your attention to this evaluation. In light of changed economic conditions and the growing potential of private climate and environmental finance, the ministries are emphasising the central role of the financial sector in the transition to a sustainable economy.
As part of an online consultation, interested parties from the financial and real economy, academia and civil society are invited to share their experiences and suggestions over the coming weeks.

The findings of the evaluation will serve as the basis for the further development of the Green Finance Agenda, which currently comprises 25 measures to promote climate-friendly investments and to strengthen transparency, risk management and long-term thinking. The results are expected to be presented in the first half of 2026.
The public consultation runs until 5 December 2025.
