The Climate and Energy Fund has been supporting climate change and climate change impact research in Austria for 13 years, and with the ACRP — the Austrian Climate Research Programme — has launched the largest Austrian research programme of its kind. The programme examines climate change in all its facets, sheds light on its impacts on Austria, and creates a scientific basis for decision-makers at all levels. The ACRP therefore also has a strong connection to Austrian climate policy and aims to provide policy-makers and public administrators with science-based decision-making foundations — making it clearly "policy-relevant".
