We're looking for your ideas for workshops, talks, and more at Klimacamp 2022 (22.05.–29.05.) We're looking forward to submissions on topics such as postcolonialism, Lobau bleibt! and urbanism, interconnected crises, feminism, natural sciences, and perspectives on economics, capitalism, and society until 13.03.2022.
The overuse of natural resources has global, intensifying consequences. So why haven't the necessary steps been taken long ago to achieve the 1.5-degree target?
In search of answers, we encounter colonial structures that have been perpetuating themselves structurally for centuries. The ecological crisis is intertwined with social, economic, and political crises. As a result, the most diverse actors and collectives around the globe are closely interconnected. Our fates are bound together, and together we can bring about profound change. We want to work towards a sustainable future in which we treat each other better and with more compassion, and ensure the free development of all.
As we're guests this year on the site of the Lobau Camp, the background and struggles of this movement are this year's central focus. We welcome all perspectives on the topics of the climate crisis, ecology, and sustainable living, and how these topics are shaped intersectionally. We particularly want to offer a space to people who are underrepresented in the dominant society to share their views. We therefore explicitly invite FLINTA* individuals, people with experiences of displacement and migration, and people who have experienced racism to help shape the Klimacamp.
We'd also really appreciate it if you shared this call in other networks.
