Participation fee

The Klimatag has developed into CCCA's central networking event and is very popular. Networking and exchange in a relaxed atmosphere are a key aspect, and good food and drink are very much part of the experience.

However, this also requires appropriate funding to ensure the necessary quality. As a result, there is a participation fee for Klimatag 2018 of EUR 50, or EUR 30 for students. The networking day is free of charge.

We hope for your understanding!

Networking Day

The focus of this year's pre-day to the Klimatag is once again on connecting climate researchers with stakeholders from public administration and practice – this time on the topic "Alpine regions in climate change – the Alpine Convention as a platform for new ideas and approaches to sustainable development".

In this context, the areas of tourism, communication and knowledge transfer, as well as climate monitoring will be explored in depth during workshop sessions. The Networking Day 2018 is being organised in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism and the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention.

Public art intervention by Hermann Josef Hack

As a special highlight of this year's Klimatag, we're pleased to draw attention to artist Hermann Josef Hack. With a public intervention, he will accompany the Klimatag, making the necessary connection between research, science, and application tangible for participants as well as passers-by in Salzburg's city centre.

Workshop on linking science and public administration

Researchers do research, funding bodies fund research, users make use of research results. Everyone wants relevant research questions, targeted funding programmes, and applicable results – and yet many wishes remain unfulfilled.

This event at the Austrian Klimatag 2018 will explore from a wide range of perspectives how the interplay between stakeholders at different levels can be optimised – and what it takes to get there.

Workshop on handling personal data

In July 2017, the Data Protection Amendment Act 2018 was adopted. The aim of the workshop is to discuss the legal requirements on the one hand, and good scientific practice on the other. The workshop does not provide binding legal expertise, but rather mutual awareness-raising and the sharing of experience.

Evening programme

After the conference programme, participants are warmly invited to round off the evening with regional delicacies and musical entertainment.
