Heat represents the greatest health risk in Austria caused by climate change. This issue affects all sections of the population and the risk is expected to increase further in the coming years. Supported by a broad alliance of over 70 partners from across Austria, the first Austrian Heat Action Day took place on 4 June under the motto "Heat Protection Plan for EVERYONE". 

The aim was to take the dangers of heat seriously and to implement heat protection measures consistently. The day was also intended to foster networking, as effective heat protection can only be driven forward through collective action. Numerous organisations and individuals took part in the activities of the Heat Action Day 2025 to once again raise awareness among the general public. What the Heat Action Day has achieved can be read about, among other things, in the extensive media coverage, and many events are still taking place!
