On 4 December 2025, the European Commission opened three new funding opportunities under the Innovation Fund with a total budget of €5.2 billion:
- A call for Net-Zero Technologies 2025 with a budget of €2.9 billion,
- the third auction for hydrogen production under the European Hydrogen Bank with €1.3 billion, and
- the first auction for the decarbonisation of industrial process heat under the Industrial Decarbonisation Bank with a budget of €1 billion.
