The new CCCA Fact Sheet focuses on CCS - Carbon Capture and Storage, a "technology for reducing CO2 (carbon) emissions through the capture of carbon dioxide (CO2) from industrial processes and the subsequent permanent storage of the captured CO2 in geological formations".
The author, Professor Holger Ott from Montanuniversität Leoben, explores the questions of what geological storage sites are, how safe they are, and why we need CCS in the first place.
