Climate change is already making itself felt and has brought irreversible consequences. We therefore need to take action to adapt to the changed conditions. Only then can we limit the negative impacts of climate change on our safety and health. Fortunately, there are already many successful best practice examples, e.g. from the fields of agriculture, housing and urban development. Particularly effective is the use of synergies between climate protection and climate change adaptation. Ecological building insulation, for instance, not only protects against heat and cold, but also boosts energy efficiency. Two birds, one stone — as they say! Generally speaking: climate change adaptation maintains our quality of life despite the climate changes we have caused.
