Under the motto "Open your Course for Climate Crisis" (OC4CC), scientists and teachers across Austria will be bringing the climate crisis into classrooms and university courses from 23 to 27 November. Together with "Fridays For Future", "Students For Future", "Teachers for Future" and "Scientists for Future", the climate crisis is to receive the urgently needed attention it deserves, even during the pandemic.
Universities and colleges are being called upon to activate their teaching staff, who should incorporate the topics of sustainability and climate change into their courses taking place during the week of 23 to 27 November, tailored to their respective subject areas. Educators who wish to contribute additional content beyond their existing lectures, in the form of talks, presentations, or workshops, are very welcome to do so.
Further information, links and slides for support are available on the Fridays For Future website.
The aim of the initiative is to ensure that all pupils and students have contact with sustainability topics during their time at school or university, to highlight the relevance of these issues for each individual, and to help them feel prepared for their future.
