The WLCÖ project is developing, over 24 months from February 2026 and on behalf of the BMIMI, a scientifically sound method for life cycle assessment of buildings in Austria, coordinating this nationally with the key stakeholders to ensure consistent recording and evaluation of construction-related and operational environmental impacts. The method enables a comparative analysis of different construction methods, the identification of future decarbonisation pathways, and the formulation of practical guidelines as well as proposals for integration into regulations and certification systems.

CCCA supports the project in organising the participatory processes, particularly in hosting three planned stakeholder workshops in November 2026, May 2027, and at the end of the project.
