Project "Trashland" — Schauspielhaus Graz is looking for people who know their rubbish...

... and who'd like to talk with us and the audience about it as part of a theatre production: about junk and scrap, consumption and recycling, the rubbish bin outside your front door or plastic waste in the ocean, about throwing things away, dumpster diving and repairing, about hoarders, clean freaks, and mountains of emotional or digital household, organic, bulky, and hazardous waste.

With the project "Trashland", the Schauspielhaus Graz takes a look beneath the surface of consumer society and examines waste as a fascinating resource that conceals money and stories about fleeting trends and lasting values, modern life and the challenges of the future.

The production is directed by Anestis Azas and Prodromos Tsinikoris. The Greek-German directing duo creates documentary theatre productions across Europe, including the widely acclaimed and internationally touring work "Clean City".
If you're willing to share your experiences and would like to find out more, come along to one of our information evenings! No theatre experience is required to take part.
