Last Monday at COP 28, the Tourism Panel for Climate Change (www.tpcc.info) published and presented the "TPCC Stocktake 2023 Report" and the "Executive Summary & Key Findings for Policymakers" on the current impacts of global tourism on climate change and vice versa, as well as on the current state of climate change adaptation in the tourism sector:

The report was produced by – alongside coordinating authors Susanne Becken (Univ. of Brisbane, AUS) and Daniel Scott (Univ. of Waterloo, CND) – among the 40 international experts the Austrian authors Dagmar Lund-Durlacher (Institute for Sustainable Tourism, Vienna), Robert Steiger (Univ. Innsbruck) and Harald A. Friedl (FH JOANNEUM, Bad Gleichenberg).
