Researchers warn of health impacts of climate change

The consequences of global warming for health have been neglected in EU policy, according to the European science academies


Vienna – Scientists are warning of health risks from climate change in Europe: heatwaves, extreme weather events, air pollution, crop failures and new infectious diseases could pose a threat to public health. Climate protection measures are therefore urgently needed, according to a report by the umbrella organisation of national science academies in the EU.
