REview of the 24th Austrian Climate Day at TU Wien

Around 320 participants from academia, public administration, business and research funding gathered in the capital to exchange ideas and network around the latest climate research. The Vienna venue was taken as an opportunity to put urban space centre stage and to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with climate change. Urban and rural environments are subject to a constant flow of change; these transformation processes need to be actively shaped with an eye towards climate neutrality by 2040 and changing climatic conditions

TU Wien offers wide-ranging research expertise in both urban and rural development, making it the ideal setting for a conference under the banner of multifaceted change. This year, TU Wien served as host for the most important networking event of the Austrian climate research community. Furthermore, TU Wien has taken a significant step towards sustainability and environmentally conscious event management: on the occasion of the Climate Day, TU Wien itself became a licensee for Green Events and Green Meetings, in accordance with the Austrian Ecolabel UZ 62, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable and responsible event planning. Accordingly, the 24th Austrian Climate Day was certified as a Green Meeting by TU Wien itself.

The 24th Austrian Climate Day was made possible through the support of numerous institutions, whom we would like to warmly thank on behalf of the entire CCCA.

We would also like to thank all participants for their valuable contributions and look forward to welcoming you to the 25th Climate Day from Wed, 23 to Fri, 25 April 2025 at the University of Innsbruck!
