Scientists for Future Austria and the scientists of their expert panel warmly welcome the initiative of State Governors Peter Kaiser and Michael Ludwig and the efforts of Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler regarding the EU Nature Restoration Regulation.

We urgently appeal for this promising path to be continued and for an Austrian "Yes" to the Nature Restoration Regulation to be made possible together this week!  

This is an opportunity to address a core concern of citizens in Austria and the European Union, the majority of whom are worried about the loss of nature: three quarters of citizens are calling on policymakers to set binding targets for nature restoration.

A "Yes" to the Nature Restoration Regulation is a "Yes" to a liveable Austria — an Austria where evidence-based and socially just policy looks after the wellbeing of the country's citizens, in true service of the electorate!
