SDG Halfway Point – a liveable world for all by 2030? Event on 11 October 2022 in Vienna

Are we on the right track in Austria?

Seven years ago, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) raised great hopes. The SDGs formulate an inclusive, holistic vision for a liveable world for everyone. The transformation needed to achieve this by 2030 is meant to be socially, economically, and ecologically sustainable. How successful are we on our journey? What steps do we need to take to make these goals a reality?

At this event, these questions will be discussed from an Austrian perspective. The focus is on the topics of SDGs 2 (Zero Hunger), 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 13 (Climate Action) and 15 (Life on Land).

In the SDG 13 Workshop (1–2:15 pm), we'll be discussing together with participants the opportunities and challenges of the bioeconomy for implementing climate protection and climate change adaptation measures. The discussion will be based on the UniNEtZ Option 13.11
