Smart Energy Systems Week 2017 in Graz

15–19 May 2017, 14.00–17.15 at Messe Congress Graz.

The well-known Smart Grids Week Austria has been running for 10 years now, organised by bmvit and the Climate and Energy Fund together with cooperation partners from the energy industry and industry, making it one of the most long-standing and prestigious specialist forums in the energy and technology community.

Indeed, the event format has already outgrown itself and is increasingly focusing on shaping a future-ready, cross-infrastructure energy system. The new title "Smart Energy Systems Week Austria – SESWA" is intended to reflect this shift.

At the heart of the <link http: www.seswa.at external-link-new-window external link in new>Smart Energy Systems Week are the system integration of energy technologies and the flexibilisation of the energy system. The event focuses on the areas of innovation, research, and technology development within a sociotechnical and sociocultural context.

Energy sub-systems and infrastructures (grids, buildings, transport systems, etc.) and their interaction (sector coupling, building to grid, vehicle to grid, etc.) are examined. Aspects of the institutional framework for innovation and market transition will also be addressed.

This year's conference will be structured in a new format, with 1 to 2 days of accompanying workshops and 3½ days of specialist conference with continuous thematic threads.
