The new podcast "Stadtwandel" aims to explain in an accessible and well-founded way how global warming is affecting our city and what changes come with it. It doesn't just address the challenges — it also points to concrete solutions and future perspectives.
Your questions for the podcast
In episodes lasting 15 to 20 minutes, host Matthias Lang wants to help ease the worries of Viennese residents. The first series focuses on the topic of green spaces in the city — an area that enjoys broad support but also brings practical challenges. Where and how can new green spaces be created? What conflicts arise, and what creative solutions are there?
The editorial team has spoken with experts and ventured out with some of them to key locations around the city. The acoustic journey leads from the 500-year-old oak forest in the Lainzer Tiergarten, through the Naschmarkt, which is currently being redeveloped, all the way to the Seestadt.
