StartClim sees itself as a programme that helps to make a start. It supports innovative projects that tackle current questions relating to the national climate change adaptation strategy. These projects should be developed within StartClim to the point where, building on the results, follow-up applications can be submitted to suitable research funding organisations. Research groups that focus on the impacts of climate change in their field, as well as early-career researchers looking to gain their first experience in climate research, are also encouraged to get involved with StartClim.
