As part of the StartClim research programme, projects are being awarded for the 20th time in 2022. Innovative projects are being funded that address current questions relating to the national climate change adaptation strategy.

The submission deadline for project proposals runs from 1 February to 25 March 2022 at 12:00.

The research questions of StartClim2021/22 are organised into four thematic blocks:

• Major levers and key measures for climate change adaptation
• How can adaptation be made measurable?
• Emergency scenario for the impacts of extreme natural hazards
• Contributions to the EU Mission "Adaptation to Climate Change"

Do you have an idea for a StartClim project but it doesn't quite fit the listed research questions? This year the programme lets you submit a proposal on a topic of your choice.
